The Chase

A whiff, a smell, a taste,
like what what you did
with the coffee and tobacco paste.
It's all it took
to get you hooked,
to embark you
on the ending, never ending chase.

Your cry for help
met by no one,
met by the chasing of sweet nothing's
and the running after love.

Purpose and meaning
given to the simple game of Catching.
Catching what, you wouldn't know.
But you wouldn't stop running,
if not,
you wouldn't know where'd you would go.

So just keep running,
running after nothing,
running after something
but you wouldn't know.
So keep running till you find something.
